Yeah, you'd think he'd go to the city conservatory or library, but the guidebook says he's in the cakeshop, and I've seen screenshots of him there...then again, Miki's still 13-years-old, and most middle-schoolers haven't outgrown their childhood sweet-tooth (heck, I haven't outgrown my childhood sweet-tooth)

...plus, at least one of the times you go to the cake-shop, Kozue's w/ him, and Kozue would vastly prefer the cakeshop over the local library or conservatory or museum. Makes sense.

I agree with this.  It's just close enough to directly going with a walkthrough, but allows us to still maintain an element of surprise.

I don't know for certain, but I don't think the Perfect Ending will actually be much more plotty than the character endings - if it does give us more backstory, it will only be a little. In any case, the routes to the character endings are likely to be far more interesting. (My personal vote is to go for Touga, because that sounds like loads of fun. Miki would also be fun, if only because we would surely run afoul of Kozue.)

Chigusa uses "watashi," the polite pronoun for either gender (bordering on feminine). There are no excuses. (One thing I did notice is that when Chigusa says "watashi," it's written with the kanji 私, whereas when D-ko says it, it's generally written out in hiragana as わたし, giving it a slightly more childish feel. It's one of those crazy things you can do in written Japanese that's completely impossible to convey out loud. Or translate.)



Nights1stStar gave a good summary of the game mechanics, although I think you're overstating the connection between our girliness and our vulnerability. In a sense, Chigusa's points do seem to indicate how much she likes us... as a victim. Submissive, "girly" choices which put us more under her thrall give her points, sure, but there are also choices (like the library one) that displease Chigusa for completely different reasons. (I scouted that choice out when we were at that juncture.)

By the way, it's just as well that we're playing through again, because even if we hadn't gotten in the Akio Car, we were on a crash course for a Game Over ending. I checked.
