There are actually tons of Utena pics that I simply adore.  In order not to hog them, I'll put one of my (of many...like all of them) favorite Utena Anthy artworks:



Yeah, we all know it, but I like it so much because the end really leaves it up to our imaginations as to what will happen.  There are many ideas and interpretations by fans, but this pic always makes me think that Anthy does meet Utena (who has matured but who hasn't changed in a bad way at all) who is as eager to meet Anthy as she is to meet Utena.  The body closeness, [painful looking] finger intertwining, implied motion...it all says a lot about what is supposed to transpire when Anthy meets Utena.  And if I stare long enough, I could almost swear Utena might dive in for a kiss.  It's very sweet and romantic and seems to show the best of their relationship.  It makes me feel kinda envious!

I know you can put different interpretations on it, but to me, it describes a very positive turn out and somewhat rekindles the desire and motivation to write fanfiction for this couple, but not enough, I guess, for now.  At the very least, it makes me consider that real love might exist in this world and that thought alone makes life seem a little less depressing, I suppose.

This is such a beautiful concept of a "prince" and "princess" to me.  Very romantic.

And I love that picture of Anthy, Giovanna.  You are so right on with your comparison of the siblings.  She's always beautiful.

It's just a nice, happy picture of Utena smiling and eating a cookie.  Really!  No understanding of the context needed at all.

Oh, the first one ToriJ's got is the object of my wet dreams dude!

Seconding the Nanami and Akio one Gio mentioned.  It really does set the mood for that arc; an instant that shows us a girl who's world and fundamental beliefs are being crushed into the dirt, and the manner in which both are being twisted -sex, love, and lies, baby. 

I think the best part of this shot is knowing that Nanami can see the look on Akio's face.



I absolutely love this, even more heartbreaking than w00biekid!Saionji's hurt face, the large and ominous shadow of the cross, cutting violently between Touga and Saionji like some gaping rift or barrier, combined with the inability to see either's face makes this all so dramatic. 



I have this thing for hidden faces, I guess...


This scene always chokes me up.   It's poignant, creepy and a quiet kind of devastating.


Absolutely gorgeous, and mysterious.  No concrete hints or clues of the context between these two.



(This was so hard to narrow down...Utena is such a visually compelling series....)

Uh, most of mine involve shameless fangirling.



This is my all-time favorite. I literally fell for Saionji the second I saw this shot. It's one of the rare glimpses we get of his vulnerable side, and it makes me want to hold and comfort him whenever I see it. *sigh*



I love this pairing. Why couldn't they have met again? T_T



I'm not much of a Ruka fangirl, but I thought it was awesome that the girl in this photo looked like me when my hair was longer.

Yeah, that Anthy/Utena movie pic is really nice, Tori.  I've never seen it before but it looks like an official image.  It's resting happily in my harddrive. 

In any case, I'd add a pic but my comp is about to die due to seeding torrents for too long.  hehe.
