Nostalgia for old anime series.

With the exception of Death Note, I think most nowaday animes are pretty lame and have more or less the same style and feel.... or perhaps im just getting old. I dunno.

This is just my personal opinion so take no offense.

All of the cast except for the underage ones (the ones that didn't fake their birth certificates). Don't wanna get in problems with Chris Hansen.

The Ruka, Juri and Shiori episode. I feel somewhat identified with Ruka.

Why? Because I once felt in love with a lesbian girl. Im serious. It feels horrible, not only because she wasn't interested in me, but also because I knew that even if I tried, she would never notice me because she simply didn't like dudes.

But I got over it, so its ok. The past is the past.

Because I was a pretty big anime fan and like food, the stranger the box, the more crazy it is, and the less likely anyone else is to eat it, the more I have to try it.

1. It looked really, really weird. I figured at the very least I'd be treated to a fantasy world where interesting things happen for no reason, which is good enough for me... But, what I got was far better...

2. Probably Anthy... Particularly Movie Anthy.

3. Utena/Anthy and Utena/Mikage... The first just because they compliment each other so well, and the second because the implications amuse me.

4. lol I'd pay for it.

5. I'd probably play along with the whole game for fun until things became too uncomfortably sexual, at which point I would run for my life... I'd spend most of my time wandering around admiring the architecture.

6. That's a difficult question... To label any of the characters with just one song is to do them a disservice, I'd say.

8. Honestly, I have played all three roles at different times in my life. Right now I'd call myself a duelist. I have a lot of people and things in my life that are worth fighting for, but in some ways I am currently lacking the pure-hearted motives of the prince.

I relate significantly to Wakaba, and to Utena, Nemuro, and Shiori to lesser extents. Interpret that as you see fit.

I wasn't saying that she was a manhater or something like that, -she had plenty of male friends including me-. What I was saying is that she was irremediably attracted to other women... therefore, my thing for her was not only an unrequited love, but an IMPOSSIBLE love. I'm not enough of a exception to make it to prince level, but I would be happy to be a strong noble fighter in my own right. So I'd most likely be a duelist. But as a girl[careful what you say], I would almost expect any guy I was with to protect me and that way, I'm more likely to be a princess. So Duelist on my own or Princess with a Prince.

Feeling seperated from my brothers when I hold strong affection for them. I have anger towards a girl who my brother dates because she's no good for him, but like Nanami, I wouldn't get involved directly or get my hands dirty with it. So I seeth in the corner.
Also Saionji's feelings of loneliness at having friends drift away or who seem distant.
Like Juri I wish people understood me without explaination. It feels concieted to say 'No one understand me' but in general I don't fit in. It feels like a miracle to find someone who seems to cut through all that with merely a knowing smile.

Well a long time ago I was a fan of the strong women archetype! While reading over several anime and manga magazines I kept coming across Revolutionary Girl Utena... Though I was enthralled with the summaries, I wasn't able to read it until ninth grade... and bought the last 3 graphic novels summer of 2004

2. Which character would you have sex with and why?
Well... for sexy reasons Akio, Juri, Anthy (hair-down mature Anthy), Touga, and Ruka. For other reasons, Juri because I feel like I would want to save her, Shiori because I want her to feel pain school-devil

The OTP is Juori, so suck it emot-mad ...j/k I'm actually a bigger fan of Juri and Ruka...surprise!

Back in 1999, I had a friend who was doing fansub distribution on VHS, and he liked taking me back to his place and randomly picking anime for me to watch with very little input from me. The rest is history.

Akio, I wouldn't really get much choice in the matter because he rolls natural 20s on Spot Virgin checks, and his Charisma stat is through the damn roof.

I only get to pick ONE? Akio and Kozue, then. In my mind, she's the fallen princess to Akio's fallen prince, a younger version of his mother-in-law.

Well, there's two answers to this.

a) 30-year-old me would get herself hired as an English teacher so that I could change those hideous uniforms to a less hideous one.
b) Student-aged me would spend her time trying to hook up Miki with Nanami, and Juri with Utena while I become Anthy's new best friend.

Never really thought about it, but TV on the Radio's "Wolf Like Me" would be pretty decent to start.

I'm a Rose Bride, 100%. Duelists seek irrational and intangible solutions to problems they can fix themselves. Princes want to be the people who fix other people's problems, whether it's taking out a girl who got stood up or kicking someone in the nuts for picking on your best friend. Rose Brides are the ones who try to solve their own problems, because they got tired of waiting on a prince, but end up making a big fucking mess of it all. A Rose Bride knows that there's a perfectly logical solution to this new problem, but they don't want to make things worse than they already are if it doesn't work.

In truth, I'm none of these things, but Rose Bride is the easiest answer to justify.

I wanted to get into more shoujo-ai, and the series was recommended to me. Of course, I fell in love with it for completely different reasons.

Umm.... I don't know anymore if I'm bi or not, but Juri is apparently hot enough that my sexuality doesn't care. Not that I would ever have the confidence to even talk to her. Otherwise, no one, because they're all too screwed up.

Love story by Taylor Swift for Utena/Anthy, although it can apply to most couples, it fits well with the prince and princess lyrics.

Purple, mysterious like Anthy.

A duellist, just because I have some sword training and I’m competitive, not to win the rose bride.
