This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

That's from Laurie's site... She's on here as Suncat. Go check out her stuff, she's got some really good art and stories.

Oh, Akio. You sexy, scheming, manipulative son of a bitch. I love you.
Offline
Oh I'm not talking about that. I'm capping episode 30.

Okay! Finally done cleaning up those movie Utena sketches.
Here is the megaupload link to them: http://www.sendspace.com/file/szxtal
and I've also emailed them to you. I wasn't sure which to do, so I did both, since I'll be leaving this computer with the sketches on them tomorrow 'til friday.
Again, I apologize so much for taking forever on these. ;_; Especially since you've been doing so much more for the gallery in much less time. I blame it partially on lazyness and forgetfulness, and partially on being away from this computer and being at college on some days. I'm going back to college tomorrow morning, and I knew it would take another week if I didn't finish them today, so I finished them up tonight.
I can't tell if my cleaning up was overly perfectionist or just normal.
Anyway, I hope I got all or at least most of the spots. Some of the marks I couldn't tell if they were important or not (like maybe they were punctuation for the writing, I don't know) so I just left them alone.
On a random note, I almost mistook some of the writing on one of the sketches as "long cock". Need sleep.

It was just the way I do it. Which is...perfectionist. They look fantastic, dear. Thank you much!
As for me...I knew episode 30 was my favorite. Almost no panned shots.

Yay, I'm glad! (Especially since I spent way too much time focusing on getting every single speck I could find out.
)
You need a vacation from panned shots.
Offline
HELL YEAH. Seven panned shots in episode 30. Ruka's duel episode had 34.

I shouldn't sit here at work sorting images of a scene that tends to turn me on.
Luckily I don't think these people know what the early stages of arousal look like.
Edit: OH GOD HE KEEPS HIS EYES OPEN WHAT A FUCKER

BTW, it looks like the developers are almost done with the beta testing on their newest release of the gallery software I mean to use for this.Yay! This might stall the release of the gallery by a month or so, but it's that much more time I'll spend perfecting the content, and there are things in this planned release I really want to get my hands on. Namely new and interesting multiple album sorting systems. I don't yet quite know what I'll be able to get away with, but I'd really really love to be able to designate different album sets so you have the option of say, sorting by type of artwork and source (which is the main way it's going to be done right now) or by character. Though not likely to be finished when I open it, if the dynamic albums work the way I think they do, later on I can make the option of selective subject albums, like a cosplay album where the images are are chosen for how useful they are in designing the outfits, or a symbolism album that collects up the shots I'm capping specifically for that purpose. Stuff like that. I have a lot of really big ideas for it, but we'll see what the capabilities of the software are. I asked around and this was the one suggested as being the least buggy/hackable, and having the best keyword search capabilities.
So yeah.
Also, this panned shot was one of the most obnoxious shots I've ever done that didn't involve moving parts. Seriously it took 210 caps of the sequence to get ones that weren't blurry and screwed up.
I forgive it though because it's a great shot of them.

It's so pretty *___*
The gallery software seems nice, I think it's well worth the wait.

Isn't it?
They look so friendly and innocuous in that way that totally isn't convincing at all. That thing behind them is a big painting or photograph or something and I want one in my house.
(It is, the windows on the opposite side of the room, which is a really odd looking room period.) I can imagine having something like that and always feeling tempted to walk right into it thinking it'd lead to another dimension or that I'd just fall right into space.
...I'm a dork.

Oh, oh! I know what you mean. I've always been thinking what the hell it is. It doesn't seem like a window. Maybe it's a portal of some sorts! It's very pretty though. But I suppose I can blame my little obsession with starts for this.

And then it would surprise you when you'd end up going through it and falling off the ends of the world and hearing Akio's maniacal laughter in the distance: 'she fell for it!'.
This new gallery I cannot wait for. You better have done plenty of Miki shots!!! *shakes fist*

It was totally necessary to get five caps of that.
Totally.

The tat would be cheaper.

Agreed, though the sword would be so worth the cost.

It would have to be made of the finest steel by some top-notch smith. And then I would hang it on my wall and never take it down except to polish it every day, because how can you justify using a sword like that?
Offline
Except that every god blade needs to be blooded at some point.
Offline
Whose blood? That of whoever directed the English language dub?
Offline
Oh, come on. It's so much more romantic if it's the blood of someone you love.

Tattoo is cooler.
And you could still get it blooded.

Those caps of Akio and Utena are so nice and glowy.

I agree. It was necessary to get five caps of it. I mean, you can probably do some body language analysis on his approach. Also.....
