Himemiya Anthy is the Rose Bride of Ohtori Academy's dueling games. But what exactly does it mean to be the 'flower' of the victor, each and every victor, and the pawn of World's End? How did such a cruel fate get bestowed on what Tenjou Utena would call an 'ordinary girl'?

This amv is an angsty character study of Anthy: the role she's forced to play, the people who force her to play it, and the way she (tragically) chose it and (reluctantly) unchose it for herself.

Auuugh, that's one of my favorite Placebo songs. emot-gonk etc-love

Absolutely beautiful. The clips you chose were so perfect, alternating between glimmers of a girl tending to her flowers and a deluge of torture and despair. It really works, both for Anthy and for the mood of the song. I also thought it was really neat how certain clips were slowed down, sort of symbolic of the strange flow of time at Ohtori.
