That gio has her surgery scheduled!
That my computer is up and running, even though I don't have internet yet, and probably won't for a month at least.
That my computer desk is built!
That in seven and a half hours it will be my weekend and I won't have to come back till friday night!
That I am going to go and get trashed tuesday night!
That I have 150$ to spend on clothes for my trip to Seattle!
Said trip is now just 6 days away!
And Tom Waits is on my iPod! Joy!

I am happy because I was able to find a better Flash player to play all those Youtube videos and I can now play from any point of the video instead of just the start. 
I will be happier if I was able to do screen captures of the Flash videos as well.

I'm happy because I sat down and thought about it today, and basically, the worst thing in my life right now is that I broke a nail today. It hurts. But other than that, I really don't have anything to complain about. That in itself makes me happy.

I totally spent way too much on my birthday bottles of wine. 
(Hay guyz what's going on in this half-bottle of stupidly expensive white dessert wine from Bordeaux (Sauternes)? That Gio is probably too impatient to wait five more days to open? Also sup, mercifully cheaper bottle of nero d'avola, reprezentin' for Sicily?)
But it's cool because I magically saved money from another place in a way that balances out how much I splurged.

I'm happy because my mother is demanding that I take her to Italy at the end of March.
...well, as I have to go to Paris instead of Italy in two weeks like I'd planned, it's all good. I thought I wasn't going to get to Italy at all this year.
It takes forty-seven New Zealanders eight months to make just one batch of 42 Below Vodka. ...luckily, that leaves one of us free to be Prime Minister.

I am happy because I get a colonoscopy on the 26th. I know that sounds like a really wierd thing to be happy for, but I have some chronic illness that the doctors can not seem to identify. They used to think that it was simply spastic colon, but I've been sick sense November, and I've lost around 20 pounds. So, finally, they're doing a colonoscopy to look for diseases down there. I feel at peace that they'll figure out what's wrong, and we'll be able to work towards getting me better, and I can get my life back. (Most of the time I spend now is in bed.) I'm happy also that for a few days, my pain has been less intense than in the past.
