I think I posted on this topic in some other thread, but I don't think I mentioned my very first anime crush (and my first favorite character): Kazuko Suema of Boogiepop Phantom.  I can't find any good pictures of her, so here's a bad one:

She's a normal girl surrounded by freaks with superpowers.  She doesn't know they have superpowers and probably wouldn't believe them if they told her, but her curiosity leads her to seek out, interrogate, and ultimately befriend exactly the right people to get just a step or two behind events.  She has some trauma in her background -- she had a stalker, probably the serial killer central to the show -- but she's grown through it with such grace that it's hard not to love her.

I admit that the whole twincest thing is sexy as sin. Besides, they're adorable in their devilish way. I prefer Kaoru better but they do work best combined.

I've mentioned him before but with the new Eva movies and the amazing art revamp, Nagisa Kaworu needs to be brought up again:

I think most twincest fans prefered Kaoru, simply because he stayed true to Hikaru while still supporting him. "I Want What's Best For My Love" kind of deal. I'm also a HUGE Hitachiincest fan.

My_Friend_Todd, L is very cute and quirky as well, but I prefer Mello because of his personality as well as his looks. If my favorite SKU characters can tell you anything, I'm strangely attracted to inferiority complexes (Shiori) and brash, emotional, violent plans (Saionji).

In Eva news, I saw a bumper sticker on an anime website that read "KAWORU DIED FOR YOUR SINS". Apparently they were released as a promotional thing along with the 10th Anniversary box set.
