Kal Penn...I dunno. This could be....weird. The Private audition would be a bit problematic as he is very swishy -but ::shrug:: it could work. Akio tends to swish.

Oh dear. Akio does tend to swish, yes, but I would not cast someone that does that naturally for the part. They'll overdo it at cost to the vital moments when Akio doesn't swish.

Again with the problem of not looking the part at all, but Pierce Brosnan could pull off Touga's character pretty well.

Actually, I'm fully confidant in James Spader as anyone, but....for some reason, and maybe it's just my natural Spader worship, I could kinda see him as Akio. We'd obviously have to nix the Indian-ish part of the character design for him (and consequently whoever was Anthy), but I think he really does have the depth for it. God knows he has that menacingly sexy voice that just makes you wanna do whatever the hell he tells you to do.

Spader-Akio: "Give me the sword, Anthy."
Whoever is Anthy: ::falls and impales self on sword in hurry to hand it over::
Spader-Akio: "Goddamnit. Well, what does one more phallic symbol rammed through your abdomen matter? You've already got a million. Come here, Pincushion Sister of Mine." 

I second Shattered with Elijah Wood for Miki, although if we made it  Jake Gyllenhall, you could get Maggie to be Kozue. ::shrug:: They do kinda look alike.

I thought they were cute together in Donnie Darko. "You're such a fuck ass." "Did you just call me a fuck ass? You can go suck a fuck!" "Tell me, exactly how does one 'suck a fuck'?" (I think that is pretty close.) Still, I think they would be a little old for the parts.  (This was edited because my punctuation-fu was not strong with me tonight.)

Most of this was meant to be crack acting though! I wasn't being serious for any of them except Anthy, Utena, Ruka, and Ruka's forelock! Goin' mostly for general looks but Jhonny and Keanu were complete jokes!
