World of Warcraft

Who here plays?  My room mate welcomed me into the household by getting me thoroughly addicted, so I figured I'd commisserate with the nerds here.

My main character is on the Shattered Hand server.  Cathareine, currently a level 11 warrior.

If it turns out there are enough of us losers on IRG, I say we pick a server and start an Utena guild.

I play, and Ali does too, as she's the one who got me started. We play on Kargath.

Re: World of Warcraft

Currently I'm Tenitra (Horde) on the Area 52 server.

I'd DEFINITELY reroll if I got to play with some IRGers.  Just name the server and faction. emot-smile

Or if anyone wants to head on to my server, I can help you level.  I'm a 62 priest atm. emot-smile

I'm personally playing on Shattered Hand as Cathareine (Alliance), but wouldn't mind creating a new character to play (possibly on an RP server?) with IRG members.

Would anyone be interested in starting an Utena roleplaying group/eventually guild?

Re: World of Warcraft

I've tried to get addicted to it, I really have, but I only end up hating it, because it's no fun soloing, but I never have anyone to party with. ; ; And some parts of the game are so ridiculously unfair that it succeeds in really pissing me off. D: And it takes a LOT to get me mad.

RP servers can be fun when you find good RPers.  I couldn't, but maybe I just focused too much on leveling.  Moon Guard Horde side has a lot of RP within Silvermoon, I haven't played Alliance in a long time so I don't know about them, but I'm sure they do too.  I've been wanting to be a Night Elf for a while.  Blood Elves... they're starting to be blah to me.

Re: World of Warcraft

I cancelled my account because I love The Elder Scrolls and nothing will ever compare.  I'm not a good roleplayer, but I hate people talking in nothing but acronyms when I'm trying to play something I consider to be a "fantasy" game.  This means MMOs don't work for me (I'm glad to see that the RPG part of that acronym is being dropped more and more often, because I don't think it applies).  I'm real serious 'bout my fantasy.

Plus, I don't like many people in real life.  This apparently holds true in MMOs.  ;-)  I had a 20-something Troll Rogue on Spirestone.  And a 10-ish Troll Rogue on Magtheridon.

Let me know if you do start an Utena guild, I'd reactivate just to try it out. ;-)

Re: World of Warcraft

Ali's main is a 70. Mine is 42, almost 43. We're both Night Elves.

Sorry, I will never play EverCrack. WarCrack for me, thanks. But then, I didn't start playing to roleplay, and was actually baffled when someone roleplayed at me as I'm not on an RP server.

Re: World of Warcraft

It'd be awesome if we could roleplay an Utena-like world within the Lore of Warcraft.  I wonder what classes everyone would be?  And what races? XD

Definitely a blood elf for Shiori. XD I almost got Razara to play WoW simply because they have the same voice actress as Shiori in English. As for a class... rogue?

Starting an Utena guild would definitely get me into WoW again~ :3

While that was amusing, I don't feel like getting addicted to an online game at the moment. There are online games that I've wasted countless hours on, and I don't feel like going through that again. If you really wanted to get me interested in the game, you should have started me off as the race that can turn into a jaguar.

But I admit that joining an SKU roleplay guild would be very fun... I still don't feel like it, though. Let me enjoy the rest of my summer vacation by doing nothing in peace.

Edit: Not quite a typo, but I accidentally used a word that sounded similar to the word I actually wanted to use... Again.

Re: World of Warcraft

The race that turns into a jaguar is a night elf or a tauren druid. It's a class :-D

My main is a level 70 feral druid, on Kargath server. Mostly tank-feral, really, but my guild has me dpsing a great deal so I'm getting better at that. I was resto spec up until the 1.8 patch hit (way the hell back there. Like, oct. soph. year, so, 10/05) I started PLAYING 1/05. I only have one level 70, my highest alt is 42 or 43. Guild's downed VR, cleared Kara, cleared Gruul.

And if you know what I'm talking about, you're a woW nerd.

Re: World of Warcraft

Alas, I am a WoW beginner, and that was just gobbledegook.

I'm really only seeing the Utena characters as humans or elves (night and blood).  Aside from Tsuwabuki, who should definitely be Tauren.

Why do you think Tsuwabuki would make a good Tauren?

Re: World of Warcraft

Ah, that's a logical reason. I think the Taurens are far too mild-mannered to be suited to Tsuwabuki's temperament.

Yes.

Though it's really frustrating that Blood Elves can't play alongside humans.
