The Pop Tarts Thread

It was inevitable.  We needed a Pop Tarts thread!  So here we go... the Official Snack Food of IRG; post pics, tell stories, share favorite flavors and recipes!

Go forth and declare your Pop Tart Love! emot-dance

As for me... my favorite flavors would be (in no particular order) Chocolate Fudge, Cinnamon Roll, French Toast, Brown Sugar & Maple, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Cookies & Cream.  As you can see I prefer the baked goods flavors over the fruit ones. They are most welcome when I need a quick snack or am in a rush for breakfast before going to work in the morning.  And now endless amusement when I encounter them in places where I least expect it. emot-keke

My favourite are unfrosted strawberry, but stores around here don't carry them anymore. emot-frown

If you want some I'll mail 'em to you. It seems like that's ALL they carry around here. Personally, I like the frosted brown sugar and cinnamon best. emot-keke

That's very kind, I appreciate the offer! emot-keke

I managed to wean myself off them and onto Eggo waffles instead.

(I secretly still buy the chocolate ones occassionally, when they're on sale.)

Re: The Pop Tarts Thread

I like the fruity poptarts like the frosted strawberry, blueberry, or cherry. The choclate ones never taste right to  me. And one of the only reasons I love my work is becuase they have poptarts in the vending machines. Pop Tarts save me when I forget to have lunch.

Re: The Pop Tarts Thread

Oh my god! In the vending machine?! Not fair! they sell pop-tarts here in the cafeteria, but it's closed hours before I get her,e and opens at the same time as I leave.

And honestly, I don't really like breakfasting with 35 housekeepers yelling at the top of their lungs in Haitian, Vietnamese, and Spanish. emot-mad

Re: The Pop Tarts Thread

I'm a huge fan of the unfrosted varieties. The only frosted ones I really like are wlid berry and brown sugar cinnamon. Poptarts are superior.

There was a long time when poptarts and plums were the only thing I'd eat. I'm not saying I wasn't severely neurotic at the time. I'm saying Poptarts have the ability to overcome severe neurosis.

Hinotori made this post, and then went back and changed it later. Such is life.

Re: The Pop Tarts Thread

I prefer the frosted strawberry and blueberry ones.  occasionally I'll go for something unusual like wildberry or apple struesel, but anything else really doesn't mesh.  And I prefer to eat my poptarts untoasted.  So no poptart spurred arson here.

Re: The Pop Tarts Thread

Toblerone is admittedly awesome... and I must say that I like Pop-tarts more after the whole thing on this board than I did before. I'm not sure why, they just taste better now.

Oooooooooooooh, Toblerones are good. But those aren't Australian, are they? Because I see them in Germany at EPCOT all the time... emot-confused

They're Swiss. But they're so awesome that any country will import them pretty much.

Aero's! Those are from Nestle! Which is like, the official chocolate of Walt Disney World. I think those are over in the UK pavilion. The only place you can't find Nestle is the French paviion. For obvious reasons, I feel.

Re: The Pop Tarts Thread

That's a damn shame, the lack of pop-tartage. I suppose we'll have to find a way to get pop-tarts to everyone who can't get them. Because they do taste even better now after the joke...
