This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

Re: The Satellite of Revolution... the Thumbnail Theater

I liked the part with Tokiko and Nemuro...

Tokiko: You don't really care about my problems, do you?
Nemuro: NEGATIVE. YOUR BROTHER ON THE OTHER HAND IS A FINE PIECE OF ASS.

Re: The Satellite of Revolution... the Thumbnail Theater

The best thing about Tatsuya is that he's the only character in the series who's so doggedly straightforward and nice that FUCKING MIKAGE COULD'NT FIND SOMETHING WRONG WITH HIM! 50 gold stars for Tatsuya right there school-eng101

This doesn't mean you're off the hook, satyr. I still unreasonably expect you to finish what isako started. emot-keke

Re: The Satellite of Revolution... the Thumbnail Theater

I remember a few years ago, I tried to combine the appeal of the Thumbnail Theater with the rising craze of abridged series and make a voice acted video version of UTT episode 1. I think I only finished Utena, Wakaba, Anthy, Juri, Miki, and the random extras' lines before determining that 1) I couldn't voice act as well as I wanted to (though, looking back, I definitely wasn't horrible), 2) none of the guys I knew wanted to do the guy parts, and 3) the lines didn't all work for spoken script purposes. I think I still have a couple test clips hidden on a hard drive somewhere, maybe.

Re: The Satellite of Revolution... the Thumbnail Theater

Maybe it's just me, but I think Nemuro would have been even funnier if he talked like Bucket the AI Chatterbot instead of like a robot.
