Utena in armor is love. Therefore so is that pic.

Re: Utena fanart!

I've always LOVED those sketchy pics in the Art of Utena book. I'm glad to see someone make them a little bit clearer! Good job!

AWESOME SKETCHES FROM THE ART OF UTENA BOOK

YOU. Several of those images have been on my list for lining and vectoring into full color images. Especially Indian Anthy. I've just been waiting to get better at pulling shading out of my arse. Also the sketches required a lot of reconstruction as you know...if I ever get around to it, you've done a huge amount of work there for me, would you mind terribly if I used your sketches for the lines? I'd credit you of course. emot-wink

That's alright, I just wanna see them in colour. school-devil

I can't cell shade for the life of me. X__x I'm hoping to learn soon

And that last one from last time is missing a hand X___x looked back over it today and noticed 'heeeey... I forgot to draw her hand draped over anthy's shoulder... >_<'

I've redraw a good portion of it again, but laziness and unfamiliarity with the costumes is making me want to come back later... in the mean time, have more

Hmm? That Miki you made is fantastic, I myself prefer Movie Miki in terms of style, but I say you capture one with it's own elegance as well.

I'm torn between the two Miki's myself. (Twas my first favourite character etc-love)
I didn't post all of the armor pics I think, namely as I cannot figure out Anthy's #$%^ collar thing. its been driving me crazy. Glad to bring hapiness. emot-biggrin

Both I and Mariannie submitted a fanart for this one, and I'm gonna post hers too cause I like hers better...

I don't know why it gave me so much trouble since I'd already drawn it emot-gonk but I made the back Utena in blue for easier telling apart... or something.

Both of them are excellently done, though I love the symbolism of the Princess / Prince undoubtedly you do as well or else you wouldn't have said you like it better then your own work, hehe. And the Black Rose picture is very creepy, well done on that one!

Oh oh! I just remembered I had this: (beware: nudity) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v212/ … 492792.jpg  It seems to me that it's based on the same sketch, but for some reason the artist (sadly I don't know who the author is) decided to draw the Movie Utena and Anthy. emot-mad
Still, it's quite naughty. school-devil (And should probably be posted in IFD.)

And here's my comic. emot-biggrin With my twisted sense of humor.
It took longer to finish it than I expected, also I haven't even started colouring part 2.
And sorry for the sketchiness and sloppy colouring, I was to lazy to ink it and I just found out how simple cell shading actually is, but I tend to suck at the simple things. emot-redface

Oh yes. Especially contrasted to Anthy's totally relaxed and interested expression. I guess IFD isn't anything new to her... school-devil

Seriously, nearly all the naughty Utena/Anthy is movie fanart! emot-mad And if that's not enough, then I don't think I've ever really come across naughty Akio fanart. That's so sad... even all the promo artwork of him manages not to get too naughty.

I'm glad you people like the comics! More coming when I find time (it's my schoolbreak, but I don't know where all my free time goes to... emot-gonk )

I'm guessing the naughty Akio promo art is lacking because the rest of the cast doesn't spend the whole series doing this.

Someday, I will tackle that image. Someday.

Re: Utena fanart!

The comics... They're brilliant. ;v;

I've had a good idea for a Christmasy Utena short comic thingie, but alas... It wasn't meant to be. I'm such a perfectionist, I can't force myself to post something that I don't consider good. However, just to show I'm not slacking off, I did draw something remotely related to SKU... But, just remotely. (I decided to steal Dios' costume.)

Also, I just noticed I forgot to colour Juri's Rose signet.  Damn, when I thought I had finished it I KNEW I forgot something but never realised what it was. I'll fix it next time.
