Re: Silent Hill

Wow.  I've never seen anything like that before.  It's kind of creepy!  The chains for the tail and the symbol of something (was it Metatron's symbol or Samael's?  I forget) on the side are really creative though.

Edit:  Oops, I blurred the picture and the model together in my head. ><;  But yeah, you get what I'm saying, lol.

That would be Metatron's symbol.

Ah, Silent Hill.  Some great, disturbing memories I have of those games.

I'm actually planning to be a bobblehead nurse this Halloween.

Re: Silent Hill

I KNOW!  I loved the movie, personally, but I don't know why it wasn't accepted well.  Maybe because it's a horror movie based on a video game.  All I know is that the woman who played Dahlia IS F***ING AMAZING!!!!1 She's sooo pretty, too.  And Cybil was hot.  AWG! I just realised what a terrible pun that is!!! Okay, she was... err... very attractive.  Therewego.  And Pyramid Head was sex.  So were the nurses.  And the Janitor, even.  HELL EVERYTHING WAS!  Roberto Campanella is my hero! etc-love

OH AND THAT MOVIE HAD THE BEST ENDING CREDITS EVER!!!!!!!

Re: Silent Hill

I liked the ending credits too. And the fact they used Yamaoka's SH music, although I think most fans were expecting a new soundtrack.

I quite agree about Dahlia. Not only did they get a very good actress for her, but she also outdid the game!Dahlia. The game!Dahlia was very psychotic and made me laugh everytime she started preaching about the devil and darkness. The movie!Dahlia appeared much more human and had more depth in her.
Still, Alessa is my all-time favorite. I don't really like how she was portrayed in the movie, especially the scene where she gets her revenge on Christabella. In the game, she does it all through the town without people even realising she was behind it. cool

Re: Silent Hill

Most definetly!  The game Alessa kicks ASS, but I'm not a fan of movie Alessa.  She's just too, 'HAHAHAHBOO!!! ME 'N' MAH BARBED WIRES GONNA GET YOOO!!'  But Dahlia, however... wow.  I really love how they developed her character.  And her voice was sooo nice!  A lot like whoisit what sings the Silent Hill songs on the third soundtrack (in English).  Izzat Claudia's voiceover?  I think it might be because on the soundtrack she does talk a lot about 'paradise,' 'judgement,' and other things you'd expect from one of the cult.

Re: Silent Hill

The Pyramid Head pony is too cute.

Also, there is a sculpture on the campus of my school that reminds me of him every time I walk by it. I'll try and find a picture of it.

Most of the SH songs are sung by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn AKA Melissa Williamson. I love her voice, she does all the vocals so well. etc-love I'm glad she's going to be on the Origins soundtrack too. She's also a voiceactress and you might have heard her in various anime dubs. A couple of songs that have male vocals are done by Joe Romersa, with the exception of "Rain of Brass Petals - Three Voices Edit". That one's performed by a band whose name I forgot.
Note that the first two SH soundtracks didn't have (with the exception of a single song on SH1 OST which was in Spanish) any vocals, but starting from SH3 they got Mary Elizabeth McGlynn to sing them. Both SH3 and SH4 soundtracks are very good in my opinion.

Oh, and to answer your question, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn also recited those poems on SH3 OST. Yamaoka said that those poems were included in the soundtrack because he wanted to make it special. He didn't want to make just a typical soundtrack that consists of background music. I think he succeeded very well.
And I think there was something about the music in the "Making of SH3" video. (edit: There are spoilers of course)

You can find all the SH music here: http://download.silenthillfever.com

...ok, I'm done now.
