This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)
Merry Christmas, everyone!
Well, it's almost over, but at least Boxing Day is right around the corner.

So Merry Christmas to the forums...hugs and happiness to all. I was told by Stephen Colbert to watch his Christmas special 2008, while tipsy and pretending it is a different show. So that is what I shall be doing shortly. And to all a good night!

My mom tried, but the clothing and jewelry she got me are just styles I don't wear. I despise red plaid. And poof balls.
It's the thought that counts though, right? And I did get the KH ds game I wanted.
No socks or underwear, though. I really need those.

Light, do you know where she got your presents? If you have the tickets, you can probably go and choose some other clothes you like better... Everytime she gets me clothes, my mother makes sure to say that they can be returned and changed for something else if I don't like them enough. And I know she doesn't mind me choosing something else! (She definitely preferres it to me not wearing anything she got me.)

I can't, that would break my mom's heart. She already suspects that I don't like my gifts, and she's the type to really stress about this -because she fears that she's a bad mother ALL the time. Thanks for the advice, though, it came from a good place.

I know this is a bit early, but, MERRY CHRISTMAS for the year 2010!
This year I'm so happy to take some photos, I'd like to share with you all. Please forgive my crappy skills.

I hope members who did not participate in the Secret Santa this year can also feel the warmth flooding on the forum.

It's almost Christmas in New Zealand! I've spent the evening eating Bambi and then making two trifles, and am currently debating whether or not to go to church for the midnight carol service...I think I might, I haven't been in a few years. And then I can come home and sleep, wake up and have French toast and presents, and then go over to my aunt's for lunch.
It's a total deviation from my diet, but I feel good about just...having a good day.

In half an hour, it will be Christmas in Queensland! And a very damp one at that; chances are good that the traditional family water fight isn't going ahead this year, but we mustn't curse the rain unless it tempts fate and never rains again. I hope that everyone who celebrates Christmas enjoys it, with their family, or without (as you prefer). I hope that your feet are dryer than mine. I hope that you're with the ones you love, and who love you back. I hope that the food is excellent. And I hope that you are truly and thoroughly happy.

Merry Christmas to our far east folks! It's 9 a.m. Christmas Eve here, and I'm currently waiting for news on whether or not I am an aunt yet again. It's going to be an unusual Christmas, that is certain! Matches well with the bizarre Thanksgiving this year.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone on IRG A little present for everyone here, my Caramilk bar fudge recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups dark brown sugar
1 can (300 ml) sweetened condensed milk
¾ cup margarine
1 cup icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla
5 Caramilk bars
In a microwave safe bowl combine sugar, milk and margarine, microwave for 8 minutes, stirring every 2 min. If it looks like molten delicious after 8 minutes your doing it right. Add vanilla and icing sugar, beat for 4 minutes with electric mixer. The fudge starts to set up as soon as you stop mixing it so you have to be fast with your layers. Pour half in a greased 8x8 pan and spread evenly, in one layer add Caramilk bars, add last layer of fudge on top. Refrigerate for an hour, enjoy deliciousness with family and friends.

Merry Christmas!
It's fun in that the water pressure in my area is messed up and we kinda need to boil our water and stuff, and it's kinda inconvenient, but it's the least of my worries.
Haven't really done anything but will be doing a candle light service with a church orchestra and am looking forward to that.

Merry Christmas, everyone! It's 8am Xmas morning, and once I can be bothered getting out of bed I am going to make French toast and watch my favourite Christmas movie.

Happy Christmas everyone! I'm going to open my presents tonight because my uncle is going out on Christmas day to visit other family. Pretty excited. My figma Aigis came today (a sort of christmas present to myself), but she has two right-arm ammo barrels instead of a right and left, so I'll have to send her back. :[ Oh well.

Belated merry Christmas (or Yuletide, as I prefer), and early happy new year to you all!

For those who are squeamish about saying "Merry Christmas" and the like because of implied religious intent etc, I present this: What Christmas is All About, with the side note that "A Charlie Brown Christmas" is still one of of my all-time favorite Christmas specials. That page rewrites a crucial scene in that special to reflect the reality of Christmas, without condemning the original presentation.
(I didn't discover that link on my own, but a friend of mine found it and shared it.)
