Do what satyr said about the cookies. For now the IFD account is down because the doujin gallery is down. I dunno when I'll get it back up in the future. emot-frown I'll have to reupload it.

I don't even know what the fuck. emot-frown But I see the same error elsewhere in the Apache logs. I can only assume it's CloudFlare. I am turning it off and seeing if that's the problem.

Apparently ImageShack now requires domain owners register with it. I've done so, but it won't work immediately. Soon enough, they should be fine. emot-smile

Re: Report layout glitches, bugs, and forum meltdowns here!

Thanks Gio poptart I can see almost all the images that only shown the frozen frog before.

I don't mean to be a bother but could you please take a look at this other problem I have? I can't see some images from the gallery that are posted in the forum, I can only see the link to the image. When I try to drag the link to the navigation bar I get this message:

"Security Violation
The action you attempted is not permitted.
Back to the Gallery"

It's the same thing when I try to copy the link and paste it in another window.

What's most likely going on, as we debugged on the previous page, is that your browser is still storing a cookie from a previous gallery logon, which prevents you from viewing its images.  It's a bug; Gio's working on it.  In the meantime, clear your browser cache and cookies.  That should log you out, and you'll be able to see gallery images again as normal.  emot-smile

Re: Report layout glitches, bugs, and forum meltdowns here!

I haven't been able to access the gallery since yesterday. emot-frown Here's the message I've been getting:

Hey you! You're trying to get at a directory that's protected. emot-frown Try accessing the site through the site, instead!

This, despite the fact that I'd only been trying to access it through the link on the main page, as normal; I'm sure I haven't done anything out of the ordinary. I tried clearing my cookies, but that hasn't done the trick at all...

Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me? emot-confused

Nope, it's happening to me, too.

Apparently they moved the site to a new server recently, which ordinarily doesn't change the way the site works. But I'm sending them a support ticket, that's almost definitely the problem here. Sorry guys! emot-frown

The server move seemed to change the base file permissions for the directory. Why I don't know, everything else seems fine. emot-rolleyes It's fixed now. emot-smile

Re: Report layout glitches, bugs, and forum meltdowns here!

Others had trouble Wednesday morning, too.  I guess there's a server move in progress or something?  My understanding is it's not anything on our end, so all Gio can do is file support tickets.

Re: Report layout glitches, bugs, and forum meltdowns here!

As some of you have noticed, there's been a sharp uptick in spam recently -- lots of threads being created with the title "introduction emot-smile" or "hey guys whats up," with spam links in the sig.  This most recent set of attacks seems to be originating from France rather than East Asia as usual.  Gio's the only person who can do much about it (apart from deleting them as they appear, which I've been doing as best I can) -- but Gio's even busier than usual right now.

The two most important things that you guys can do: do not click any spam links (duh), and hit Report when you spot these posts.  Some of you have already been doing this, and it really helps me keep the forum clean.  Thank you!  Together, we'll keep the spammers at bay.  etc-love

Check the user list too -- if you set sort by "registered" and sort order to "descending", you can the most recently registered first.

I mention this because there are new people who have spam links in their profiles -- http://forums.ohtori.nu/profile.php?id=2199 and http://forums.ohtori.nu/profile.php?id=2177 are a couple.

Re: Report layout glitches, bugs, and forum meltdowns here!

Yup.  For some reason, a lot of spammers register and never post.  This seems to be more typical of Third World spam; the ones you linked to, which I deleted, were both Bangladeshi.  In my imagination, the people creating these spam accounts aren't closely supervised and can get paid based on the number of forums they infiltrate, not the number they actually post to, but I have no idea whether that's right.  Anyway, Gio periodically nukes them by deleting all user accounts that have never posted, but it doesn't stop new ones from signing up. emot-frown

Spamfighting superhero leaderboard since May 30:
onsenmark: 17
allegoriest: 7
Aine Silveria: 5
thothptah: 5
gorgeousshutin: 4
CrystallineDream: 3

At a glance that looks like a lot of spam -- fifty reports total in two weeks! -- but it wasn't actually that much.  Many spam posts got reported by more than one alert forumite, and onsenmark in particular has been super-proactive about fingering spam accounts before they actually post.  (You can usually tell by their signatures.)

Keep fighting the good fight!  emot-dance
