Yeah, same for me and this thread(warning: IFD).

Didn't seem important enough to bring attention to when I first saw it, but since other people are having the same problem I might as well confirm that it's not a hallucination.

Speaking of the dot, I have it next to the General SKUpidity thread which I WISH I could take credit for, but...

Re: Report layout glitches, bugs, and forum meltdowns here!

I've noticed the dot glitch myself. It's actually off the top of my head the only constant bug on the forum and it drives me nuts. I don't know if updated punbbs fix it, and if they do, it's probably not worth the mess updating such a heavily modded forum would make. I'll look around and see if they've got a direct code fix.

In the meantime, a few people have brought up the subject of an IRG FAQ. This usually springs up when a n00b wants to know about the pop-tarts. That's not enough for a faq, though...anyone got suggestions for what should be on there if/when I get around to writing one?

Akio, you have nice turns of phrase, but your points aren't clear and you have no textual support. I can't give this a passing grade.

Not really a glitch, but I was wondering if there could be a way to view your own profile as others see it, without immediately going to the edit profile console.

I think there is a mod for that, actually. I'll check it out and add it if it's not too horrific looking. emot-smile

Yep, there's a mod for it. A couple actually. I'll see about installing one this weekend. emot-smile

BTW the GoogleMap needs to be in the FAQ if and when one's written. cool

Re: Report layout glitches, bugs, and forum meltdowns here!

I just tried to edit a post and not only did the edit not go through, it just sent me to a blank white screen. I was finally able to delete the post, which wasn't what I really wanted, but oh well. Perhaps this was just my browser being bitchy though. I'm not sure.

When I post a response now, it sends me to the blank screen instead of the updated thread.

Same thing happened to me. And I got the blank white screen just from clicking on the GD.

It's a pretty minor thing, but people seem to have two e-mail buttons or two PM buttons under their avatars.

Gio, if you haven't noticed already, it looks like one of the email buttons is for form email through the site, and the other is for direct email to the address given at signup.

This stuff makes my brain hurt, but I'm not having the blank white screen problem anymore so whatever you did I think it worked.

Well the white screen problem was probably a cache problem, if it pops up again, or for anyone, please say so!

In the mean time I'll work on the double e-mails. But not right away. I need sleep like you wouldn't fucking believe, I've had like four hours in two days and as much shit as I need to do, it won't get done with me practically falling apart. emot-frown

It sucks, being sleep deprived. You don't need that. emot-frown

Re: Report layout glitches, bugs, and forum meltdowns here!

Not that I know of.  But it seems to not be happening now, so it was either that or got fixed with the maintenance. :/

Edit: Oh wait, it just happened after I posted this.  I think it happens every time I post a second time or something o_O.  What's extremely strange about it though is that I usually don't get any emails updating me on new posts, so it's not like it's a huge annoyance.  Just very, very strange.

Re: Report layout glitches, bugs, and forum meltdowns here!

That sounds familiar, the forum might have an automated subscription feature now. I think I'll just turn off subscriptions, this forum's threads don't jump around fast enough that one needs subscriptions, right?

I'm about 98% sure you're kidding, but just to be safe:

Gio, if you turn off subscriptions, I will travel back in time to when your mother was pregnant with you, and I will force-feed her a vat of lavender food coloring laced with the DNA of Bono, with the result that you will be born with the appearance and personality of Movie!Akio.  You won't even get the car.

That... is the best threat ever. emot-gonk I don't have an opinion about the subscription function as I've never used it, but... that is still the best threat ever.
