In the Rose Garden / IRG Titles: Let's Play! ^_^

Before I was the moderator of an Internet forum, I used to want to start a forum just so I could devise a clever ranking system. But instead, back in the early days of IRG we set up the very simple system we've got: you're a New Student for 15 posts, then a Duellist until post 150, and then a Champion Duellist. The other titles are all custom titles granted at random by mods seized by whims.

But Christmas is coming, and I can already smell the delicate mixture of pine needles and fractured innocence wafting down from the top of the Chairman's tower. Let's celebrate by mixing up the title system! I want to hear your ideas for holiday-themed rank systems for IRG. They can be as simple or as baffling as you want; this is your plum pie. emot-biggrin We'll be changing the ranks using suggestions from this thread until probably sometime in January.

I think the rank can move up in a "Christmas" sense like this:

Let's pretend Santa Claus is "Dios".

And Penguins, who live in the South Pole, are living the furthest from Santa, who lives in the North Pole.

So, any title associated with "Penguin" will be the equivalent of "New Students", methinks.

Then you can move up with things like "Polar Bears" and "Elves" and "Elves Executives".

These are just brainstorming.

This is the best my sleep addled brain can glean from a list of christmas songs on wikipedia. Now thanks to this thread I will never be able to hear Driving Home for Christmas without thinking of Akio and Santa Baby without thinking of Touga

Also apparently there is a traditonal Christmas carol called Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming emot-tongue
