Project Runway

Okay, so besides me, who's watching Project Runway this season?

The premiere was last night and will probably air at least 100 times before next Wednesday.

Right now, Rami and Christian(and his freaky hair) are looking like front runners.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm ever gonna make it home again.

Re: Project Runway

Bleh to Christian's design... it needed to be tailored way better than it was. X-x  Oh and bleh to his hair...its best described as five mullets on one head.

Kit's my fave.  I can't believe she wasn't in the top three. >_<

Did you notice there's only ONE straight guy this season... har the gay guys are positively flaming too. emot-tongue

Re: Project Runway

ProRun is love, and Tim Gunn is delicious. I wish he weren't gay, although have you seen some of the Timm Gunn/Anderson Cooper slash? Priceless. Silver foxs for tmfw, as they say.

That said I missed the premiere, although I checked out the runway pics. I have to say, I'm throughly underwhelmed. emot-frown

Re: Project Runway

I liked the chick who was doing things with grass stains and the flowy train dress, but it didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. As the judges said, it sucked. But she was so creative!

Oh, her. I thought the grass dyeing thing was neat, too, but I was hoping that she was using that fabric for the body of the dress. And I wish she'd left off whatever the hell that Train of Doom was. Total suck and fail. emot-mad

And I liked Victorya's(the Korean chick) dress, even if you can't raise your arms. emot-rofl

Re: Project Runway

Yeah, I'm with you on that, Hya.

Last week's team project was quite special. What the hell were Christian and Carmen thinking?

This week was 12 shades of tragic, though. "Here, stick this blue fabric under the jacket because my time management skills suck."

Re: Project Runway

You know, to be honest, I haven't watched a single episode this season. I caught some of the designer interviews on the website, and none of them have really caught my eyes. And I checked out the runway galleries on Bravo...yeah, not impressed. Too many of these damned scenster designers putting out crap -like the SJP dress winner. How in the world is that what the average everyday woman shopping at Steve and Barry's gonna want?

This season is epic fail, sorry.

TRENCHCOAT. In the whole winter fashion show thing. I'm not sure if that's a rerun or what. It was on our DVR. But OMFG TRENCHCOAT OF SEX etc-wankgirletc-wankgirletc-wankgirletc-wankgirletc-wankgirletc-wankgirletc-wankgirl

Re: Project Runway

Right now, I'm pulling for Rami. (Ye-n-maybe because he is teh hawt.) He seems cool. I like him. I am way disappointed Carmen was booted so early. I was expecting her to stay for awhile.

Is it me or does Tim seem less snuggly this season? He was always such bouncy fluffiness in seasons past, and now he's just "I show up occasionally and then briskly send you on your way post-elimination". Where is our silver fox of squee? emot-frown

I hope this season is better than last. My top choice for ANTM got the boot, so no point in finishing watching that. XP

Re: Project Runway

I think that trenchcoat might have been from season one, but I'm not sure.

And I was hoping Carmen would be around longer, too. She shouldn't have gone home last week even with the unfinished shirt. Ricky should have gone home.

That summed it up pretty nicely. I was still laughing about it a couple of hours later. emot-rofl

Now my problem with this season is that there's no obvious front-runner, except for Rami. However, I get the feeling that draping isn't going to get him through the entire season. To quote Michael Kors, "I'm underwhelmed."

I've been getting by on the mini-marathons of previous seasons this weekend, though. I finally got to rewatch the episode from Season 2 where Santino makes up that whole story about Tim and Andrae going to Red Lobster. emot-rofl

Re: Project Runway

Im pissed off at Carmen. WTF was that she sent down the runway? Nothing was done.

I do not like Christian's design,  I mean it's okay to be confident, but if your ass was in the bottom three...shut the hell up.

I like Kit Pistol and Victorya. I was sad to see Marion go home, I wanted to see what he could come up with.

You need to check out the extra videos on the site then... there's another video of Santino voicing Tim Gunn singing  NiN's "Closer".  Daniel is pretty much dying as he does it too.

Oh hell, I looked it up because I wanted to watch it again: http://video.bravotv.com/player/?id=9530

Ehh- The second season really didn't impress me design wise . . .  But I was really sad to see Jack leave (Though he needed to because of health!) I felt bad though, because everytime I saw his swollen face, it reminded me of the Who's in How the Grinch Stole Christmas!!!

Re: Project Runway

Awww, don't worry Sevie, a whole bunches of people have been saying the same thing. I kinda am thinking he's a shoo in to win the fave designer award on the reunion show. Like I said before though, I'm totally underwhelmed by this season, although so far, this has been the strongest challange to me, design wise. this is really and truly the first challange where I've been interested in the final product. Thus far, I hadn't seen a single thing that impressed me on the runway. I still really haven't, but I was a lot closer to it last night.

I really would've liked to have seen Jack's final piece. So far, I'd liked his designs the most.

I must say tho, I'm a bit torn on Christian. I think he's a little prick, and an overegofied litte brat, and I'd like to rip him limb from limb, and I really do not like the scene/hipster style crap he's created thus far. BUT. THe boy can construct. Major props.

Same here... so love/hate over Christian.  I could take Santino and Jeffrey's assholish natures.. but Christian just gets under my skin.  He reminds me of a catty 13 year old girl.

Chris coming back made me, and probably the other contestants, feel better about Jack leaving. However, I wasn't remotely surprised that he came back. IMO, he shouldn't have gone home last week anyway. What the hell is it going to take to get Ricky out of there?

I agree this isn't the best season, and there's STILL no obvious front-runner. That's what bothers me. At this point, there should be one person I can look at and say, "Holy crap, he/she might win." Nope, not so much. I was looking at Rami, but the group challenges keep sticking him with what I call dead weight that puts him in the middle of the pack. Victorya's little snit with Ricky last week made me not like her. (I know I don't like Ricky, but he has good structure, even if it's boring.)

But I'm kinda torn on Christian, too. His hair looks like a cat's been sucking on it, and I feel like a lot of his pieces look like 80's pieces or some sort of Victorian/Edwardian revival work. However, his construction skills are fierce and his work is fairly original.
