This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)
Supposed to be through the point of view of someone else attending Ohtori. A random no-sleep drabble poem thing, any comments would be nice

Hey, I’m sorry for writing after so long,
But see, there was this girl, her hair done up in these curlers,
And, made me think of those days with you, sitting in the sun,
Your hand touching mine lightly, before we even knew what was wrong,
Oh, how gentle it was, your lips on my cheek, forgetting everything then,
But, anyway, you know… the girls I saw today,
Everyone says it’s wrong; it’s too beautiful to belong in a world like this,
Nothing’s ever real, no friendship ever stays,
And neither did ours,
And I’ve forgiven, but couldn’t forget those times in the sun.
I know you’re there in front of me, forever trapped in silence,
But I hope you see them there, and maybe you’ll remember,
Green eyes full of shame,
Blue eyes of innocence,
Words of poison flow around them, saying they’re lovers,
Only passion could drive such adoration,
The one with the pink hair, what’s her name?
She holds her like a goddess, whispers promises I will never hear,
Oh, true friendship, you and me a circle, where did it all go?
Sometimes I see eternity as they talk about their days,
Oh, but it’s just a fantasy, I know that they’re just like you,
And they’re like me, flawed and tainted by the world,
But I remember, do you remember, those days together?
The one with dark skin, she’s watching with contempt,
Her friend is leaving for a tall man, is this where it goes wrong?
Just for a moment, I’d give it all,
Just for a moment, I’ve give it all to have you in my arms again
