It would be pretty hard to pull off a white or black, you'd have to go with silver bands, which are kinda between the white Seitokai rings and the black ones. I don't think any of us can drop the coinage it would take to get a real metal emulating the black. (I believe titanium would do it...)

If I were a bottomless pit of money I'd get one made with marble but really...

Re: Cosplaying Utena

I don't know, you could probably get the outside of the ring lacquered in black... we would have to see what the options were.

Re: Cosplaying Utena

I'm wondering how it would last under a lot of rubbing that way from use...but if you were going to do that you could make the ring itself out of something cheaper than silver.

As far as I knew you can go to a jeweler to adjust the size of a ring no matter if it's small or large.

Re: Cosplaying Utena

My point exactly. What's wrong with cool art? I'd give the standard Paypal-doesn't-support-my-country-so-I-can't-pay excuse, but they recently added Croatia to the bunch, so it doesn't work anymore. Bleh.

You should be more specific, like... I'll draw naughty Touga (and/or Akio - can't leave out the other admin) dōjinshi as payment. That should twig a reaction. d:

Yasha and I are too poor to carry the financial load of the rings being distributed in trade for things. emot-frown I assure you, if our financial situations were brighter, we would happily take payment in naughty pictures of Akio and Touga. etc-wankgirl As it is, if we were to do such a thing, it would have to be an everyone-pays-their-way affair.

As for paypal, they can kiss my ass. I'd rather get money orders in the mail. The way god intended.

There is kind of paint for details black colored, perhaps the ring could be filled with that

I'd go for one if we found a way to get it in black... titanium anodizes quite nicely, and it doesn't rub off.

Re: Cosplaying Utena

I'd be willing to go in on one, though it depends on the timing if we actually did this.  Right now I'm saving up for an $800 dollfie..so I don't have a lot of money to spare!  Getting a ring like that would be awesome though.

Re: Cosplaying Utena

If the price came down a bit I'd totally pick one up. I could probably swing 75 or so -maybe a hundred.

I happen to have a good friend who is a silversmith (he's also a potter, armor-maker, sword-maker, general metalsmith, tailor (somewhat) and amazing painter, pencilist. I fucking hate him. And a former bartender), I could see if it's something he might be able to do, although I don't imagine the price would come down too, too much...

By the way, Gio, you've got gorgeous hands. You should definitly model. school-devil school-devil

Edit: Oh, and he's a ridiculously talented musician. I really hate him, when he isn't plying me with art supplies and alcohol.

If anything, I'm afraid the price will go up emot-gonk

Silver prices have gone up since then, I believe... on the plus side, if we can swing it at all, we're going to have a lot of time to save up.

Re: Cosplaying Utena

I bought that ring for my birthday last year. I have small hands, so I was surprised that the ring didn't fit my finger at first. I had to get it resized. Thank goodness it didn't stretch the crest or remove the color... That would have been a waste of $100.

I think that I might have preferred a Black Rose Crest, but that would have gotten scratched up much more easily.

Re: Cosplaying Utena

I've been looking for a crest ring for years and years, I once found a signet ring from the movie but it was about $200 at the time and not my size. I would so be into the ring deal, no cost shall effect me for I am desperate.
