This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

[Revolutionary Puzzle] The Duel Called Revolution

AKIO: So we've come to the end of the game...
KOZUE: Why are you talking?
AKIO: To win this match, the Champion Duelist will need to draw on all the resources from the previous rounds.
KOZUE: Oh my God, I don't care.
AKIO: I wonder... will the power of the rose finally open the gate?
KOZUE: I'm putting my clothes on.

Re: [Revolutionary Puzzle] The Duel Called Revolution

Is the answer to any of these, "How appropriate, you fight like a cow"?

Somewhere, there is an unplugged toaster sitting on a Coleman stove.

I tried very hard to work a variation on that one in. emot-biggrin  No, but you are thinking along the right lines!

Re: [Revolutionary Puzzle] The Duel Called Revolution

#2 is obviously INCONCEIVABLE

#4 I suspect is NAVAL

And #5 uses Star Trek terminology. I'm gonna say UNFAZED.

The numbers no doubt refer to the final ten-letter word. So, with what's been answered so far, we've got:

_E_L_D_NNA

Pat, I'd like to solve the puzzle. BELLADONNA

Re: [Revolutionary Puzzle] The Duel Called Revolution

Expertly done.  :applause:  BELLADONNA is the overarching answer!  Congratulations to you and everyone else who helped. emot-smile

For anyone following along, Flah plugged the answers to the previous five puzzles into the blue brackets in the Thrusts, then filled in the missing words in the Ripostes in an appropriate/punny way.  Complete answer list:

T: Your face is a cancer!
R: Yeah?  Well, your groin has CRABS.

T: You look like Wallace Shawn circa 1987!
R: It's true that I'd have said a genetic mutant like yourself was INCONCEIVABLE.

T: Call me the Bermuda Triangle, because I'm about to make you disappear!
R: If you were, your two huge ears and one tiny brain would make you ISOSCELES.

T: My Rose Seal makes me as strong as any armada!
R: Based on your relationship with your mother, I'd say that's not your only NAVEL engagement.

T: We must be on Star Trek, because my weapon is stunning!
R: Actually, I'm completely UNFAZED.

Put the letters in the pink roses in order from one to ten and you get BELLADONNA!
