Re: I Live Here: The Landscape Captured by YOU

My true passion in life.
Taking pictures of animals in zoos.
err... yeah.
But since I live ALOT closer to the zoo than say, the wild, it works I think.

And I have an okapi picture too!

Mine's far less graceful. eh heh.

Here's a scenic-y shot from my school...

I have zoo-ish pictures here..

err... sorry for links and such. X___x
I'll eventually upload pictures one day when it stops being mean.

Re: I Live Here: The Landscape Captured by YOU

I really like the flamingo with black-tipped feathers...I hadn't seen that before.

And the shot of the cheetah is very cute, considering the fence. You're lucky the camera focused on the cat, and not the fence. Or maybe you're just a good photographer.emot-biggrin

Now I feel like posting some more cute animal pics.

Re: I Live Here: The Landscape Captured by YOU

It was probably luck. emot-keke;

I think it did it since I'd zoomed in quiiite a ways to focus in the cheetah though.

knowing me though I might have taken like five pictures and deemed the rest unsuitable.

I feel like going back to the zoo and taking more. Maybe in a couple weeks when I move back next to it.

Re: I Live Here: The Landscape Captured by YOU

Man, dollface sure is abusive. It's a good thing she's so young, or I might like that.

Anyway, here are some pics I took of the Meyer Circle fountain in KC.

http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb197/orev_saara/Meyer3.jpg
It's in a big traffic circle, so people occasionally crash into it while drunk.:eyeroll:

Another wide shot, but from a different angle...I can't believe I didn't get a shot that took in the whole thing!

Closeup of the central column. (duh)

Some flowers and such nearby.

Okay, so I bought a disposable digtal camera and wandered all over downtown with it. Let's see what happens.

This is my neighborhood.

Well, that's the first batch. I still have a few more to clean up.

Ooh, reflecting pool! I really like those. And of course, I always love fountains. For a disposable, those are very nice shots...and why would someone throw away a digital camera anyway? It doesn't really run out of film...emot-confused

Anyway, looks like you work in a very nice location.emot-smile

The castle where eternity dwells would be a nice place to live.
I do not live in a castle, I do live next door to one though!

Reading in the castle grounds:
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f247/logophony/hesse.jpg

The castle next door... I love the vista, the horizontal stress of the structure offset by the vaulted vertical pines, reminds me of Bourani: Conchis' estate in my favourite (John Fowles) novel The Magus.

OMG, castles! I etc-love castles! Actually, I'm a sucker for houses in general. I've ridden public transportation through the rich neighborhoods for the sole purpose of looking at houses.

Anyway, more pics of downtown from me.
