Yeah, I'm fishing. Sorry about that. I'll try taking up as little time as possible.
I'm currently in the process of writing a story that takes place about 10 years after the end of the anime. It's still in the early phases, so I can't submit it here, but if anyone is interested in being a beta-reader as it is written, send me a PM. It would be greatly appreciated.
I have a rough idea of where this is going and where it will end up, but a lot of it is still being developed. The primary character is Juri, and it's written in first person from her point of view. I'm also toying with the idea that it should be written out as a film script, but for the moment it is narrative. I know that's not saying much about what the story actually is - but the truth is I'm not certain of that myself. The first part came to me almost complete without revision and I've been trying to discover where it goes from here.
Anyhoo, thanks for your time.

Well, I love reading fanfiction and I'm glad you're writing SKU. Count me in!
Thanks for your interest.

I'm a horrible beta reader, but I started reading this story a while ago, it's very good
Very impressive

Hey, Ashnod! Glad to see you here! I would offer my services as a beta reader, but I've got a lot on my plate just now.
HOWEVER.
I just want to impress on everyone how important a beta reader is for a good fanfic writer. It's invaluable to have the feedback of a person you trust for a story, any story, so that you can refine it and make sure it's eliciting the responses and emotions that you want it to. I would have been lost many times without Gio beta reading for me, and I really want to encourage this sort of thing-- writers should help each other!
I'm so glad you made this thread, Ashnod! Don't feel bad at all for asking for our help!

Thank you, Yasha!!! I hope that it turns out to as high-quality as some of the tales I've found here!

I'd be happy to glance over things as you go along, especially if you also have Frosty beta-reading. The more the merrier when it comes to that!
From what Yasha says, I'm a pretty good beta reader...which is nice since I suck at writing myself and instead can drink in the glory of others.

I hope the beta reading is going well! Again, this is an important step for all fanfic writers (and readers!) because we all get a better product in the end. Hurrah for beta-readers!

Still waiting on replies from most of them. Those that have replied have given excellent advice and feedback.
Thanks!

Yeah, sorry about that! I try to reply as fast as I can.

I've come to the conclusion that this is never going to be finished. It's going on six years now that I've been toiling away at this story and it's progressing at paragraphs a year. I finally, FINALLY, after more than a year managed to finish the scene that had stymied me and looking back at it I have no idea why it stymied me at all.
Fanfiction should not take this long to write. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARG.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm currently reading a Sailor Moon fanfic that the author's been writing since 1998. He claims he's about 2/3 of the way done.

lol. I suppose I shouldn't say anything about having been stalled on a Sailor Moon fiction that was started in...about 1998 or so.

And while we're at it, when is Satellite of Revolution gonna resume updates?
I'm no one to talk, though. I've been posting my desultory continuations of Isako's long-defunct Utena Thumbnail Theater at the rate of hardly more than one a year. I finally sort-of finished the Black Rose Saga for IRG Day back in June, but fifteen more episodes?

I believe in you, Ashnod! I believe in you, satyr! You can both do this! I know you can!
